Forensic Science Geek of the Week

The week 93 “www.TheTruthAboutForensicScience.com Forensic Science Geek of the Week” honors goes to: John L. Buckley, Esquire

According to his website, the following is published:

The Law Office of John L. Buckley, PC is dedicated to the representation of persons charged with DUI and other criminal charges in Colorado. Prior to law school, he worked as a paramedic in many different settings including various rescue and teaching positions as well as serving on a SWAT team in Texas.  These experiences provided him with many unique opportunities that he has used to his clients’ benefit.  During law school, he worked in the District Attorney’s office as well as a major civil litigation firm.  These positions further developed his litigation skills.  Since being admitted to the Colorado Bar, he has dedicated his practice to defending persons charged by the government with various offenses including DUI and traffic offenses, misdemeanors and felonies.  He believes that “The power of the government, via the police and District Attorney, is almost limitless. Only the criminal defense attorney can provide a check to this power.  It is my hope to provide that check on behalf of my clients.”

Congratulations to our Forensic Science Geek of the Week winner

OFFICIAL QUESTION:

Forensic Science Geek of the Week Challenge

1. Who is pictured above?

2. What is he best known for?

Our Geek of the Week answered:

This gentleman is Dr. Cyril Wecht, a forensic pathologist who does not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald’s actions did not result in the death of President Kennedy. He testified before the House Select Committee on Assassinations that the single bullet theory was not capable of causing all of Kennedy’s wounds.

[BLOGGER’S NOTE: There were two Honorable Mentions:

  • Laura Magnuson who wrote: “This is Cyril Wecht. He is a forensic pathologist and is well known for his critique of the Warren Commission’s findings regarding the JFK assassination.”
  • Ted Vosk, Esquire who wrote: “Cyril Wecht.”]
